Tutorial TA1: Cooperative Communications in Wireless Networks
Location: TBA
Presenter: Mohamed Hossam Ahmed

The last two decades have witnessed substantial efforts in developing new wireless technologies that can provide higher data rates and better quality of service. Among the proposed technologies, there are two promising ones, namely multiple-input multiple-output space-time processing (MIMO-STP) and multi-hop relaying. Main topics to be covered:

  • Multi-hop Relaying
  • Classical Diversity and MIMO Systems
  • Cooperative Diversity
  • Cooperation Strategies
  • Combining Schemes
  • Complexity Issues
  • Performance Analysis
