Greetings from the General Chair

On behalf of the organizing committee of the 2012 IEEE Canadian Conference on Electrical and Computer Engineering (CCECE), it is my great pleasure to invite you to the 25th anniversary of this conference. CCECE is the annual flagship of IEEE Canada, and over the past 24 years it has been established as a major forum in various areas of electrical and computer engineering for researchers from Canada and around the world. The silver anniversary of CCECE in Montreal is an important milestone in the history of this conference, and the organizing committee members are trying hard to make it a memorable one.

Montreal is known as one of the world's most livable cities. It has the European charm right in North America. With its historic architecture, modern facilities, fabulous food, exciting nightlife and popular tourist attractions, you will enjoy every moment of your stay. The conference venue is Hotel Fairmont The Queen Elizabeth which sits at the center of Montreal's vibrant cultural and commercial district. It is connected to the extensive underground city of thousands of boutiques, restaurants and cafés.

It is an honor for me to be part of this event and have the opportunity to welcome you to the conference. I am confident that you will be leaving the silver anniversary of this conference with one golden memory of productive interaction with leading Canadian and international researchers in different disciplines of electrical and computer engineering, and of course the great experience of visiting one of the most beautiful cities in the world.
