"Patents: From an Inventor's Viewpoint"

Mitchell J. Shnier, B.A.Sc., P.Eng.
Data Communications Consultant

IEEE Toronto Engineering & Human Environment Chapter Seminar
Presentation in Toronto, March 14, 2005

Abstract: Mitchell has completely handled the successful patenting process for two US patents, and also has had one patent application rejected and used the service of a patent agent to apply for a Canadian patent. In this talk, Mitchell will describe what is actually required to write your own patent application, and what happens after that. Mitchell will also discuss his first-hand experiences with, and thoughts about the patenting process.
