IEEE Kingston Section Annual General Meeting

It is that time again. The current executive has scheduled the AGM for the date above, and we look forward to the membership coming out to vote for next year’s executive and listen to the speaker we have lined up for you. Mr. John Forester comes us from the Wolfe Island windfarm project. It has been up and running now for a couple of months, and John is going to tell us about the following aspects of sustainable energy on Wolfe Island

  • core values of Canadian Hydro Developers, Inc.
  • reference to new owner…TransAlta
  • economic impact of Wolfe Island EcoPower Centre
  • environmental impact
  • logistics of construction
  • anatomy of the turbines
  • delivering the power (contractual and what&rsquos in the ground)

Overview of the Canadian Defence Space Program
